  • LEADERSHIP GREATER ROCHESTER CREDENTIALS & QUALIFICATIONS

    Leadership Greater Rochester is accepting applications from individuals who have the desire and capacity to take their leadership strengths to a higher level in order to help their communities, professions, and organizations grow. While the program is designed to assemble a unique and diverse cohort of high-potential leaders, the most successful applicants to the Leadership Greater Rochester program share certain characteristics:

     

    EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONAL: Individuals are accomplished professionals with a breadth and depth of professional experience. Ideal applicants will be at a point in their careers where their participation in the program will be felt for years to come.

    DEMONSTRATED PRIOR LEADERSHIP: Individuals are interested in building on an already established record of meaningful leadership. LGR is not an introductory course on leadership.

    RESPONSIVE TO FEEDBACK: Individuals willingly seek, humbly accept, and actively respond to feedback.

    ACCEPTING OF DIVERSE POINTS OF VIEW: Individuals welcome opportunities to interact with and learn from others with different backgrounds or perspectives.

    POSITION OF INFLUENCE: Individuals are expected to take action and make an impact in their communities or organizations, thus must have the opportunity to affect change.

    CIVIC-MINDED: Individuals are willing and eager to take actions to improve our community.

    READY TO COMMIT: Individuals are required to be onsite for 11 full sessions from roughly 7:30am - 5:00pm, including an overnight retreat, and spend numerous hours engaging in program curriculum inside and outside of session time, including the Community Impact Project.

  • SCHOLARSHIPS
    The Rochester Chamber Area of Commerce is able to provide partial tuition scholarships based off of demonstrable need. If interested, please fill out this form.
